A residential dumpster rental should be the boring part of your project. You call, we tell you which size fits both the debris and the driveway, and a container turns up when we said it would. Everything after that is just filling it.

We run residential drops across Mooresville every day, from the older mill cottages off Church Street with driveways built for a 1950s sedan, through the Brawley School Road peninsula, out to Curtis Pond, Byers Creek, The Point and the newer Langtree builds. Different houses, different constraints. The one thing they have in common is that a hauler who has never seen the street before will get it wrong.

Everything is flat rate. The number we give you on the phone covers delivery, pickup, your rental window and disposal up to an agreed tonnage. No fuel surcharge, no environmental fee, no charge that appears after the fact.

What people actually use a home dumpster for

Whole-house and garage cleanouts

Decades of storage, furniture nobody wants, the exercise bike, boxes of paperwork. Usually a 20 or 30 yard depending on the house.

Kitchen and bathroom renovations

Cabinets, countertops, tile, subfloor, fixtures and drywall. Tile and stone are heavy, so we size for weight, not just volume.

Flooring tear-outs

Carpet, pad, laminate, tile and the tack strip. Bulky rather than heavy unless there is tile involved.

Moving and downsizing

The stuff that does not survive the cull. Very common around the lake as people trade a family house for something smaller.

Deck, shed and fence demolition

Pressure-treated lumber, posts and concrete footings. Mention footings when you call, because those change the weight.

Storm and yard cleanup

Limbs, brush, fence panels and whatever the wind rearranged. See our yard waste service.

Basement, attic and crawlspace clearing

Wet cardboard, mildewed storage, insulation and forty years of Christmas decorations.

Pre-listing clear-outs

Realtors send us a steady stream of these. Empty house shows better, and a container beats twelve trips to the county centre.

Sizing a container for a house, not a warehouse

Most residential jobs land on a 15 or 20 yard. A 20 holds roughly six to eight pickup loads and still sits comfortably on a two-car driveway at about 22 feet long. A 30 yard is the same length but taller, so it needs the same footprint with more overhead clearance for the hoist, and it is the right answer for a full-house cleanout or a large addition. A 10 yard is short and stubby and exists mainly for heavy material like tile, brick and concrete, where you hit the weight limit long before you fill the box.

Protecting your driveway

Every residential delivery gets protection boards under the wheels and rails as standard. That spreads the load of a container that can weigh eight tons loaded across the slab rather than concentrating it on four small contact patches. Asphalt is the surface that worries us most, because Piedmont summer heat softens it and roll-off wheels will emboss a soft drive. On asphalt we favour a morning drop. Pavers and gravel can rut, and a lawn in wet red clay will rut badly, so we will tell you honestly if the spot you picked is a bad idea.

Not sure this is the right service? Describe the job on the phone and we will point you at the right container even if it is a different service page. Call (980) 447-6076.

Residential Dumpster Rental FAQs

What size dumpster do I need for a house cleanout in Mooresville?

For a three-bedroom house with a normal amount of accumulated stuff, a 20 yard usually does it. If it is a full lifetime of contents, a garage packed to the roof, or you are also pulling out carpet and cabinets, go to a 30. Call and describe the rooms and we will size it in a couple of minutes.

Can I put the dumpster in the street instead of the driveway?

You can, but street placement in the public right-of-way generally needs a permit from the Town of Mooresville, and on a state-maintained road NCDOT may be involved. Many HOAs around the lake also prohibit it outright. The driveway is nearly always the simpler answer. Our permit guide covers it.

How long can I keep a residential dumpster?

Our standard rental period covers most home projects comfortably, and we will tell you the exact window when you book. Need longer? Say so up front and we will price the extended period into the flat rate rather than surprise you with a daily charge later.

Do I need to be home when it is delivered?

No. Most customers text us a photo of where they want it and go about their day. We just need clear access, no cars in the way and no low limbs or wires over the drop.

Will it fit in my driveway?

Almost always. A 20 yard needs roughly 22 feet of length, 10 feet of width for the truck and about 23 feet of overhead clearance while the hoist works. If your driveway is short, steep, curved or has a low tree, tell us when you call and we will pick a size that works or suggest the street with a permit.
